About the Role: Inventory Accountant (Orders
& Stock Management)
The Inventory Accountant is a
critical role within our operations. As part of the finance and supply chain
team, you will be responsible for monitoring stock movement, ensuring accurate
order processing, and applying cost accounting principles to support effective
inventory control.
This role demands a high level of accuracy,
analytical thinking, and organizational discipline. The right candidate
will not only maintain reliable records but will also provide meaningful
insights to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key
Responsibilities
As an Inventory Accountant at
Sasareeb International Company Ltd, your day-to-day responsibilities will
include:
- Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor, track, and record all inventory movements
across the company.
- Ensure that stock levels are accurately reflected in
the company’s accounting and reporting systems.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile
with accounting records.
- Order Management
- Oversee order processing to ensure accuracy and
timeliness.
- Work closely with procurement, logistics, and sales
teams to ensure smooth flow of goods.
- Verify and reconcile supplier invoices, purchase
orders, and delivery notes.
- Cost Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Apply cost accounting principles to assess inventory
costs, variances, and profitability.
- Support financial reporting by preparing clear and
detailed stock and cost reports.
- Provide analytical insights to management for better
decision-making.
- Internal Controls & Compliance
- Implement and monitor effective internal controls over
inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting
standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits by providing accurate and up-to-date
inventory records.
Required
Qualifications & Skills
We are looking for a professional
who is not only skilled but also passionate about maintaining high standards of
accuracy and accountability. The ideal candidate will have:
- Education & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business
Administration, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and
inventory management systems.
- Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in inventory accounting, stock
management, or related roles.
- Excellent reporting, analytical, and organizational
skills.
- Advanced computer literacy, especially in MS
Excel and accounting software.
- Personal Attributes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (both written and
spoken).
